Setting up the Digital Audio Workstation for Reason

Help Center Introduction to Reason Setting up the Digital Audio Workstation for Reason

If you have little or no experience with audio equipment, I would recommend taking the DAW Overview Workshop, but it is not absolutely necessary. There is one important thing that you must make sure is correct before using Reason, and this deals with the small green box underneath the Digi 002. This is a switch that designates whether the MIDI commands from the keyboard are going to either the Roland or to the computer. You must make sure that the button on the Midiman is pushed IN. This ensures that the computer will be able to recognize the keyboard when you are playing it.

Also, make sure that the two Digi tracks are up and that the "L/R" sends are pushed in so that you can hear your playback.
