Getting Started
An instructor or colleague can put information and materials for you to use, such as files and Catalyst tools, into a CommonView workspace. You can access a CommonView workspace in two ways: through your Catalyst tools account page, or by visiting the workspace URL directly.
When you are given access to a workspace as a participant, a link to the workspace will appear under the CommonView header on your Catalyst account page.
To access a CommonView workspace, follow these steps:
- On the Catalyst account page, under the "CommonView" header, click the name of the workspace you want to access. Learn more about logging in to Catalyst.
- From the workspace, you can access the information, files, and Catalyst tools the workspace owner has made available. Use the links at the left to navigate to the views available in the workspace.
The workspace owner can also provide you with a URL in an email message, or as a link on another Web site. If it is a class workspace, you may be able to find the URL on your syllabus, or access the workspace through the MyUW class channel course Web site link.
