Accept a Portfolio Invitation

You can receive an invited portfolio in two ways. Instructors can send you an invitation through Portfolio, or you might be asked to follow a link an instructor or advisor sends you in an email or posts on a Web page.

If an instructor or advisor sends you an invitation through Portfolio, you will see the title of the invited portfolio in the "New portfolio invitations" box on the home page next time you log in to Portfolio. To accept a portfolio invitation, follow the steps below:

   Click the title of the invited portfolio in the "New portfolio invitations" box on the home page. You will move to the "Accept a portfolio" page.
2. Read the description of the portfolio and learning objectives provided by the instructor or advisor.
3. Choose a location to save the new portfolio in the "My Portfolios" area. You can use the default location "My Portfolios," or choose an existing location by clicking the drop-down menu. Click Select location once you have decided where to put the portfolio.
4. Click Accept portfolio. You will move to the Portfolio summary page, where you can start working on your invited portfolio.

If an instructor or advisor sends you a link through email, or posts a link on a Web page, follow these steps to install the invited portfolio:

1. Click the link provided by the portfolio author. You will move to the "Install a new portfolio" page.
2. Read the description of the portfolio provided by the instructor or advisor.
3. Choose a location to save the new portfolio in the "My Portfolios" area. You can use the default location "My Portfolios," or choose an existing location by clicking the drop-down menu. Click Select location once you have decided where to put the portfolio.
4. Click Continue. You will move to the Portfolio summary page, where you can start working on your invited portfolio.
