Create a New Artifact
- From the home page, or My Artifacts, click Create a new artifact on the "I want to" menu on the left. You will move to the "Create a new artifact" page, as seen in the image to the right.
- Select the type of artifact you want to create from the drop-down menu. See below for specific instructions for each artifact type.
- Enter a name for your artifact that will clearly identify it and distinguish it from other artifacts. The artifact name will also identify your file when it is attached to a portfolio. You can always rename your artifact later.
- Select the location where you would like your artifact to be saved from the drop-down menu. Click Browse... to view a list of your artifacts.
- Enter a description for your artifact. The description will remind you about this artifact in the future, and help you locate artifacts by searching your collection.
- Enter keywords for your artifact. Choose keywords that you would commonly use if you were searching for your artifact.
- Once you're finished entering information, click Create artifact. You will move to the new artifact's summary.
