You can quickly set up a grade book by making a copy of one used for a previous class. Copying a grade book copies the categories, assignments, weighting and calculating of total score settings, and class grade settings. You can also choose to provide any current administrators with access to the copied grade book. Copying a grade book does not copy selected classes or students and their scores, nor will assignments be published. 

There are two ways to copy a grade book; either from the account page or under the Manage section of the grade book. 

To copy a grade book from the account page, follow these directions:

  1. From the account page, find the grade book you want to copy.  You many need to select the tool filter GradeBook and the role filter Owner or Collaborator to do so.  
  2. Click the Actions menu located next the grade book.
  3. Select Copy.
  4. Rename the grade book, if desired.
  5. Click Copy.
To copy a grade book under Manage, follow these directions: 

  1. From the account page, click the grade book you want to copy.
  2. Click Manage.
  3. Select Copy.
  4. Rename the grade book, if desired.  You can also choose to copy adminstrators to collaborate on the new grade book.
  5. Click Copy
To complete set up of the new (copied) grade book, you will need to to select a class or add a group of students.
