The University of Washington provides you with space to create a personalized Web site. So why not use it? During this day-long workshop event, you will learn all the steps necessary to get started creating personalized Web sites.
Technologies for Website Construction, Have you ever wondered where to begin when it comes to website building? Technologies for Website Constructions will help you create a road map in taking the first step into creating custom web page you want.
Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML), Learning how to write the basics of HTML will help you take a different perspective behind the language of the web. Do you ever wonder what the code means when you look at a page? Learning to code HTML will help advance yourself into content structure of a web page.
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Think that your page looks boring? Want to spruce it up? Learning CSS will help make creating a layout becomes much easier then you can imagine. CSS focuses on the formatting side of coding on a web page. With CSS you can create different layouts to add a little flavor to your web page.
Dreamweaver, Creating a web page without the hassle of learning the code can be a difficult task. With Dreamweaver and its "What You See Is What You Get" (WYSIWYG) interface, you will be able to create a web page easily and painless by just dragging your mouse, clicking and typing like a word processor.
After completing this workshop you will be able to set up an impressive, professional Web site for practically anything.
This "one-day workshop mini-series" offers a project-oriented look at the content from the Technologies for Web Site Construction , HTML, CSS and Adobe Dreamweaver workshops. There will be a break for lunch at noon.
This is a walk-in workshop: there is no need to register. If we do not have enough space for all who show up, priority will be given to students.
